SpeediTee Diary

Speeditee Diary is a brand new time management application that is designed to be used by the club manager and staff at the club.

Speeditee Diary will provide a simple way of booking time for many different applications

These could range from the Managers personal diary, through the visiting party list, to the tee times on the golf course.

You will be able to specify different parameters to make as many diaries as required. Some of those diaries could be private diaries, such as the managers, but others can be specified as ‘public’ allowing the entries to be visible on Speeditee.com

These could be the societies that have been booked via the office, allowing members to see when the course will be busy.

There is also the facility for the club to ‘submit’ certain tee times to Speeditee.com

The club will be entirely in control of how many tee times they submit. There will be a repeat function to allow repetitive submissions. For example you will be able to submit 15 times, every Thursday afternoon.

The system will have a search function to help the user to book in a large society. It will have a facilty to do a time search, where you can specify that you want the tee for 2 hours for example. You will also have a number of people search to identify a suitable block of consecutive tee times.

You will be able to build basic price structures into the system, these will work by basing the cost on a ‘Rack Rate’. This will be the most expensive price for the tee time. Depending on the type of booking being made, will apply a discount percentage to the Rack Rate.

For example, a club has tee times available, and a non member without any discount would be required to pay £50. This is known as the rack rate. If the club required members to book into the system to play a round of casual golf, the members booking would be rated at 100% discount. If a guest was required to pay £25, then that group would be set to 50% discount. If on Thursday afternoons, you offered a special deal of £10 per round, you would offer these at 80% discount.

Doing it this way means much less complication in the software and its setup.

One thing that has become very apparent with all our previous booking systems, and other systems on the market is the vast complication required in the program to achieve a suitable pricing structure for on line booking.

The way Club Systems have approached this is to simplify the process so that as each set of tee times is submitted to speeditee.com, the user sets the rack rate and discount to apply for each booking. Doing it this way means far fewer parameters and much less complication. If you know that vistors on a Friday pay £20, and Guests pay £10, you can set that there and then and submit it to speeditee.com

Other systems have huge complication built in to cater for relatively easy scenarios. Cross booking is a good example of this. Previously, the matrix required to accurately specify what time a group of golfers who teed off from the 10th tee, would be passing through the 1st tee was very complex to program and operate, and because it would always be subject to variations in local conditions, would usually be no more than a compromise guide at best.

We now appreciate that it is in fact much easier to handle the detail such a cross booking at the club rather than trying to cater for it on line or at the time of booking.

So ClubDiary will be a simple, easy to operate application, that will enable the club to design its time sheets for various facitilities, and allow this information to be selectively published for use by others, either in club , for example the caterer, and also to those outside the club, for example members wishing to view course usage, or the general public looking for tee times.
